Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. About David Kyte

David Kyte

Being born in Detroit and having lived all my life in Motown, cars would only naturally become a subject for my artistic expression. My Automotive work tends to be not merely a photo with a filter applied, but carefully crafted digital paintings designed to capture the beauty of the subject car. I work in a rather traditional manner, avoiding the use of filters and digital tricks preferring to paint what I want using a Wacom Cintiq LCD display drawing tablet and programs like Photoshop and Corel Painter. This affords me the freedom to create images I want and not just what a photos allows, All the advantages of traditional media but without having to clean brushes. Because these are digital I work LARGE! creating high resolution...
